NHR 9300-300 High-Voltage Battery Test System

The NH Research NHR 9300-300 High-Voltage Battery Test System is a multipurpose, fully programmable DC source that can handle reverse current flow and is used as a charger and regenerative load. In industries such as automotive, aerospace, heavy industry, maritime, grid storage, academic research, and standards laboratories, this system is widely used for testing a wide range of energy storage devices, including batteries, fuel cells, and ultra-capacitors.

This system is very good at modeling battery behavior, testing battery chargers, and cycling batteries on and off. It has a 300 kW power capacity and can deliver up to ±501A at 1200V or 999A at 600V. With modes for standby, battery simulation, charging, and discharging, the NHR 9300-300 offers flexible operation. By providing adjustable limits for voltage, current, power, and series resistance, it provides precise control and guarantees accurate and dependable test results that are customized to meet particular requirements.

With dual voltage ranges of 600V and 1200V built in, the NHR 9300-300 is appropriate for a wide range of power applications. Because of its modular design, power can be expanded up to 2.4 MW by adding more 100 kW cabinets. When 24 cabinets are paralleled, the total current capacity can be increased to 8,000 A. By recycling electricity during tests, the system's regenerative capability—which has an efficiency of over 95%—optimizes energy utilization.

At a slew rate of less than 2 ms, the NHR 9300-300 has ultrafast response times due to its advanced 100% SiC technology. Maintenance and operation are made simpler by the air-cooled architecture, which does away with the requirement for liquid cooling. In addition to integrated features like pre-charge circuits, reverse polarity checks, and isolation contactor relays, high insulation resistance improves safety.

For accurate real-time data collecting, the system also includes sophisticated digital measurement tools that measure voltage, current, amp-hours, and watt-hours. Support for LabVIEW®, IVI Drivers, SCPI, and battery testing applications such as Enerchron® and NI BTS are among the control options it provides, along with an intuitive touch panel interface.
